Flynn: Yeah, sorry girl, I respect you as a friend and all but your story about your overprotective mom and sitting in the tower for 18 years is a bit boring to be quite honest. Rapunzel: Well, not as boring as your story about how you took a name of a fictional character from a stupid children’s book and went into thieving. Lanterns raise in the sky. “I See the Light”, a turning point in the lives of both characters that had a large impact on their development and inspired them to want to start a new life, is NOT playing and one of the most beautiful scenes in Disney history doesn’t happen at all. After it’s over they shake hands. Flynn: Well, it was a pleasure to meet you. Rapunzel: Me too, thanks for being such a good friend. Here is your satchel as promised. So what are you going to do next? Flynn: I guess I’ll try to run away with the crown and I’ll be lucky if guards are not gonna go after me, find me, throw me in jail and then hang, which will most likely happen. And what are you gonna do next? Rapunzel: Oh, I’ll just go home and keep living like my own mother’s prisoner keeping her young and healthy forever by letting her use my hair. At home. Rapunzel: Hey, mom, I’m back! Gothel: Ah, so I was right about nothing working out between you and that guy because no one can genuinly like such a naive, clumsy, immature little girl like you? Rapunzel: Oh, you were right mother, as always, and I honestly didn’t like him either, we decided to remain friends. Gothel: Well… that was… much easier than I thought.
